Sam's Snowy Day is part of the Kids Can Read series designed for beginner readers at three different levels. In this Level One story, Sam experiences fluffy white snow for the first time in his life. The children take Sam along for a fun-filled, snowy day of adventure: tobogganing, making snow angels, sliding, and playing with snowballs. Mary Labatt's scenarios are classic and the illustrations are exuberant. Sam's expressions are priceless. Although the wording and the length of this book may be challenging for some beginning readers, the illustrations and storyline are sure to keep all readers engaged.
