Launched phase II of the Project Naming website, which included an additional 3000 unidentified photos from all three regions of Nunavut that were added to the database.
September 2007
Nunavut Northern News Limited published the first of a weekly Project Naming photo under the by-line "Do You Know Your Elders?" As of December 2008, almost 40 new identifications have been sent to LAC by Nunavummiut who have recognized individuals in the photographs.
Participated on a panel presentation at the Canadian Conservation Institute's Aboriginal Symposium held at LAC. This presentation was published as a paper in Preserving Aboriginal Heritage: Technical and Traditional Approaches, Proceedings of Symposium 2007 and is available for sale on CCI's website (www.cci-icc.gc.ca/symposium/index-eng.aspx).
