Nicola MorganBorn in Victoria, Nicola Morgan grew up and went to school in Victoria and in Shawnigan Lake, B.C. As a child she enjoyed reading, painting and drawing. She attended Emily Carr College of Art in Vancouver and is now an author, illustrator and exhibiting painter. Her first book, The Great B.C. Alphabet Book (1985) was followed by Pride of Lions (1987), Temper, Temper (1988), Louis and the Night Sky (1991), and Once in a Blue Moon (1992). Nicola won the 1984 Images and Objects Painting Award, the 1984 Choice Selection of Children's Book Council and the Sheila Egoff Children's Book Award, 1988 B.C. Book Prizes. |
