The life of a princess is not always easy. Take for example the young Princess Petunia. While all the other children in the kingdom get to play and have fun in the park, the princess has to stay at the castle and learn the manners and conventions of her royal position. However, one evening after dinner, Petunia, the perfect little princess, allows a little tiny fart to escape! Everyone believes it is an isolated incident, but the royal flatulence of the princess becomes increasingly frequent and, even more terrible, smelly! To make matters worse, no potion or medicine seems to correct this unfortunate situation. One day, a sensible young man suggests that the princess be allowed to go outside and play and have fun as a way of chasing away these embarrassing incidents.

This satirical tale, full of humour and wisdom, gently pokes fun at the world of conventions and praises a healthy lifestyle. The pastel illustrations by Catherine Lepage impart a softness, creating a pleasurable experience for the reader.
