One day, forest ranger Garrett Brock finds wolf cubs that can change into human babies. Fifteen years later, we encounter the four teenage werewolves again. Their true nature sets them apart from other teenagers, while at the same time allows them to help one another. Unfortunately, the opportunistic Dr. Monk captures Tora. Now that he has her in his possession, he hopes to become rich and famous. When law enforcement offers little help, Tora's brothers try to rescue her themselves.

Edo Van Belkom, former winner of the prestigious Bram Stoker and Aurora awards, presents us with a subtle critique of our behaviour toward nature: we too often abuse it for personal profit. The narration is more descriptive than emotive and may make it harder for some readers to identify with the characters.
