Railway yards in Winnipeg
ca. 1920s

Winnipeg's massive railway yards were used in this lantern slide to promote the city's connections to international markets and to champion the city as the greatest grain trading centre in North America. The lantern slide was part of a lecture series on Manitoba compiled by the Natural Resources Intelligence Service, the federal agency responsible for disseminating information on Canada to audiences around the world.
