Vol. 3034

Remi Lake, Ontario

The Provincial Air Camp at Remi Lake. This lake is about three miles from Moonbeam, the nearest point on the C.N.R. [Canadian National Railway]. The camp is located on an island about five miles from the shore nearest Moonbeam.

From this camp the Treaty 9 party starts the real trip inland. From Ottawa to North Bay and then to Remi -- the flying hours being between five and six hours. There is accommodation for about thirty people.

H.N. Awrey (Indian Affairs Commissioner)
