Library and Archives Canada Celebrates Canadian Library Month

Throughout October, Library and Archives Canada is pleased to join the Canadian Library Association in celebrating Canadian Library Month.

Public libraries are part of the knowledge institutions network of the country. They play a vital role for Canadians by making a world of well-organized information accessible to citizens, wherever they may be. Library staff is knowledgeable and informed. Librarians, documentalists, archivists, and information technicians all play a key role in continuous learning. They help Canadians develop the skills they need to find the information they require. In turn, this helps Canadians succeed in a knowledge-based economy.
