Scope and content
This map shows Canada from Baffins Bay to Lake Superior and from Newfoundland to Lake Athabasca. Lakes, rivers, bays, towns, villages and other features are shown and named. Note that on this map the Mississippi R. runs north of the 49th parallel. This map was published in several editions of the Atlas to Guthries System of Geography... between 1770 and 1795. This plate probably appeared in the 1786 edition of the atlas.
