1 map : Hand col.outline ;2 hemispheres ; each 28 cm in diam. on sheet 54 x 66 cm.

Scope and content

The map shows the extent of the knowledge and polar explorations through the early19th Century. As a result, there is no sign of any landmass where Antarctica will shortly be discovered and the NW Coast of America is highly inaccurate. The detail for the coastlines of New Holland is also very primative.
