A beautiful map of North and South America with many decorative elements including: a cartouche in upper left with a female representation of America, allegorical scenes in the South Pacific Ocean, ships in the Northern Atlantic including a battle, and a dedication in the lower right to Jacob Boreel, mayor of Amsterdam. Map has a large open lake in the Great Lakes region and California is shown as an island.
