The map is embellished by a vivacious scene of Indians and other native figures around the title cartouche.
Illustrations of native village and battle scene appear on the South American continent.
State 3 (ca. 1727)of Justus Danckerts map of c. 1696. The name of Frederick de Wit was added by the Ottens brothers as a mere advert, the authorship of de Wit therefore is falsely claimed on the map.
