Describes entertaining the "Buffalonians" and comments on closure of the Parliamentary session, on relationships between the French and English populace, between the province and both England and the United States; and on protectionism. Notes plans for the family to go to the seaside, delayed by Victor Alexander's brief illness; and his forthcoming tour to Lake Huron and Lake Superior.
