Scope and content

Lord Elgin purchases a few pieces of work by Madame LaPlane during her visit and promises to name her to Lady Head. Miss Murray intends to visit Manitoulin Island and camp among the Indians. Lord Elgin refuses request of Admiral Byng to receive a maiden lady at Spencerwood and introduce her to Canadian Society as she is only 22 years old.
