Lord Elgin is staying at the Clifton [Hotel]. Agricultural shows at London [Ontario] and Detroit [Michigan]. Progress from Quebec to places in Canada West, Detroit and Buffalo. Lord Elgin participates in the ceremony of laying the first stone of the most important post of the Victoria Bridge at Longueil. Effect of the railways on travel.
