Description of the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the Roman Catholic University. Departure of Miss Murray and the 71st Regiment. Reciprocity Treaty. Address in reply to Lord Elgin's speech from the Throne. Lord Elgin's progress to London by the Richmond Railway, Albany, Buffalo, and to Niagara to be present at a cattle show. Lord Elgin remembers happy days with Lady Elgin at Niagara in 1849.
