Comments on the identity of Pressilian, or S. R. Tresilian, and his activities in support of the Roberts and Stephens factions; and his arrangements to watch ships for the man's departure. Enclosed: copy of a letter from Pierrepont Edwards to Major General Sir Thomas A. Larcom (New York, 28 December 1866), comments on Stewart John Robert Tresilian, formerly connected with the Roberts and Stephens factions of the Fenian Brotherhood; lists 3 sets of documents enclosed and 2 photographs; and promises news of his departure; also copy of enclosure No. 1 to despatch to Sir T. Larcom (n.d.), statement by Stewart John Robert Tresilian of his origins in Ireland, employment as a civil engineer, service in the American (Union) army as engineer and inventor.
