Scope and content

A riverscape / landscape depicting a view of the escarpments at Queenston and Lewiston and the newly completed (First) Queenston-Lewiston Suspension Bridge across the Niagara Gorge. The bridge's cable is attached at each end to a single tower located on each shore. The artist has suggested several unmasted vessels close to the shoreline. The rocky landforms are covered in vegetation.
