Scope and content
A landscape / riverscape depicting a view of the Niagara River Gorge and the American shore from the Canadian shore near the suspension bridge. The water rushes along with a faint mist rising above it. The vegetation and rocks of the far shore have been portrayed in an impressionistic manner while vegetation on the near shore in the foreground has been shown in some detail. Leaning into the scene from the right side is a tree with bare twisted branches.
