Scope and content
A riverscape depicting a view of the rapids on the Niagara River upstream from the Horseshoe Falls. At the left foreground is a wooded island. Logs which have been floating downstream towards the Falls are caught on its shore. Other logs continue to drift towards the brink of the Falls from which a water mist rises. To the right of the brink is Terrapin Tower located on exposed rocks beyond the western end of Goat Island, which is covered in vegetation. Other small islands with wooded vegetation dot the River.
