Scope and content

A marine scene depicting a view of the St. Lawrence River and Île d'Orléans from close to the south shore at Beaumont. At the left of the work is a land mass with vegetation forming part of one of the coves at Beaumont. Sailing in the distance are several fore and aft and square-rigged sailing vessels.
