Scope and content

A riverscape depicting a view of the Horseshoe Falls from the Canadian shore of the Niagara River. At the left of the work is Terrapin Tower located on exposed rocks beyond the western end of Goat Island at the brink of the Falls. The Tower is circular with a circular balcony surrounded by a railing at the top. At the bottom of the Falls below the Tower are several exposed rocks. Mist rises from the Falls and the water below. In the background can be seen land formations on the Canadian shore in the distance.
