Scope and content
A landscape / riverscape depicting a view of the Niagara Gorge from Goat Island. There are buildings and vegetation on a high bank at the left of the composition. The largest building may be the Clifton Hotel. It has two rows of balconies and a lantern surmounted by a cupola extending from the roof. The other buildings may include the Hotel's concert hall and livery stables. At the right, the American Falls at Prospect Point are partially visible.
