Scope and content
A landscape depicting a view of the Horseshoe Falls from Table Rock on the Canadian shore of the Niagara River. At the left of the compostion is Terrapin Tower located on exposed rocks beyond the western end of Goat Island. The tower is circular with a circular gallery surrounded by a rail at the top. A figure can be seen approaching the tower behind which is the vegetation of Goat Island. At the left foreground is an exposed rock suggesting the artist's location. At the top of the composition, five birds fly over the falls.
