Scope and content

The title may refer to the Star and Garter Hotel located on Richmond Hill overlooking the Thames River Valley. A still life arrangement of a [terracotta] jar with a curved handle, and a round pot with a plant. In the background, the artist has suggested a fence. To the right of tha jar is a shrub.
