Scope and content
A marine scene depicting a view of Stonehouse Pool and the Royal William Victualling Yard occupying the headland at Stonehouse and projecting into Plymouth Sound. At the bottom right is a manned two-masted vessel with fore and aft rigging near the shore. Several fore and aft-rigged vessels sail in Stonehouse Pool along with several unmasted small boats. Beyond the Yard in Plymouth Sound is a Royal Naval vessel with square rigging, three masts, a bowsprit and gunports. A hill with vegetation rises from the waterline.
