Scope and content

A marine scene depicting a view of the breech of a ship's gun and its rigging behind a rectangular gunport onboard HMS INCONSTANT. The breech rope is curved over the pommelion. The gun tackles on either side of the gun consist of a block and tackle arrangement hooked to an eyebolt on the side of the ship. The ship's side in the background is roughly sketched.
