Scope and content

The title refers to the St. Lawrence River. Title is partially illegible. The subject is a marine scene depicting a view of Hare Island [Île aux Liévres] in the St. Lawrence River. A combined fore and aft and square-rigged masted vessel manned by three seated figures sails in the choppy water near the foreground. Other masted vessels sail in the distance at the horizon.
