Scope and content

The subject is a townscape of the City of Söderköping viewed from the water. Sankt Laurentii kyrka [the Church of St. Lawrence], left, and its bell tower, right, rise above several other buildings. The right side of the work is dominated by a promontory. The land rises behind the buildings in the background.
