Scope and content

A genre scene depicting two sailors onboard a Royal Navy ship. They are wearing broad-brimmed hats with flat crowns, wide-legged trousers and short jackets with round-cut collars. They are seated on deck at the rail. A belaying-cleat with line and fairleads are mounted on the rail.
