Scope and content

Maps shows an area covering Asia from the Black Sea and Moscow in the west to part of the northwest coast of America naming Cape de Fortuna and the strait of Anian. Map also shows Korea as an island and the great wall of China.

Decorative title cartouche on the bottom right corner of map. Decorative text box in bottom left corner contains text with a reference to Jodocus Hondius. next to this box is another decorative box "Millaria Germanica Communia" .

Includes decorative vignettes: of a nomadic tribe, tents and livestock near the top middle ofthe map. Along the left margin two figures titled "Tartari imago and Samogedi imago".

Plate from an early atlas. On verso: two pages of text. to the left page 352 (2 appears slightly raised) titled Tartaire. On the right upper corner 35e titled Tartaire OV L'Empire DV Grand Cham. Bottom right corner carries "PPPPPPP".
