This map was compiled to show the discoveries made as a result of Palliser's expedition. As a result the map shows and names features that had not been indicated on maps of the west prior to 1863. Notes concerning the nature of the conuntry traversed cover the map and the expeditions routes are shown in red. Information concerning vegetation, population, natives, etc., is also given.
