Scope and content
A coat of arms on a stone wall. This image is mounted in the center of the paper, with an image on either side. Beau did a series of views of French coastal towns for the National Archives in the 1920s.
Henri Beau was an employee of the Public Archives of Canada from 1915 to 1938, being employed in the Paris office specifically to copy views, portraits, etc. and to carry out iconographic research. See Pierre Lallier, Henri Beau (Musee du Quebec, 1992).
