Sunrise or set showing square-rigged and lateen-rigged sailing ships and smaller tenders. Also shown is a small rocky island with white structures.
Boyle was distantly related to another artist in the album, Olivia de Ros (1990-207-8X). His cousin John, son of Edmund Boyle Earl of Cork m. Cecilia de Ros, sister of Lord de Ros, in 1835. Many of the English amateur artists in the album belong to what must have been Lady Falkland's social circle.
