Scope and content
Full-length portrait of Lady Emily and Lady Mary Lambton, both shown in profile from the left side, both seated and painting at easels. Lady Mary Louisa Lambton (d. 1898) was the eldest daughter of Lord and Lady Durham. Lady Emily Augusta Lambton (d. 1886) was their second daughter. They accompanied their father to Canada in 1838.
Watercolour removed from album. Attached to original mount. The album page was cut to frame the image that was glued to its verso. Original album page attached separately.
New colour transparency produced 03.01.01; colour had shifted in original transparency.
