Scope and content
A view of Quebec, the St. Lawrence, and mountains as seen from the Batteries. In her diary on June 23, 1838, Mrs. Ellice writes about sketching on the Batteries, and how much she likes the view.
Watercolour removed from album. This work was originally glued to a secondary support. The album page, folio 14, was cut to frame the image that was glued to its verso. Original secondary support and mount attached separately.
New colour transparency produced from original 03.01.01; colour had shifted in original transparency.
