Scope and content

Colour transparency: recto framed.
The work depicts a nearly half-length portrait with the sitter turned to his left.
Gabriel Elzéar Taschereau was a member of the Legislative Council of Lower Canada, Seigneur and Judge.
Accession file notes, April 1977: the ivory is slightly warped as a result of being unevenly glued to a piece of cardboard. The miniature is accompanied by a small black frame.
