Accounts, estimates, receipts, reports, returns, and general correspondence. Several letters from John McGill referring to the progress of the settlements in Upper Canada, and a long letter from Edward, Duke of Kent, to Lt. Gen. Hunter, informing him that the Grand Portage had been completely blocked in places by trees blown down by a hurricane a year before, and directing him "to set to work one party of Habitants from La Rivière du Loup and another from the Madawasqua side to make a footpath passable across the portage." 134 documents.
