Biography / Administrative history
The Dauphin Agency was created 27 September 1948 as part of a major administrative reorganization designed to provide four agencies in the southern part of the province where agriculture predominated and three in the northern region where trapping, lumbering and fishing were the principle occupations. The following Bands were the responsibility of the Dauphin Agency: Crane River (2); Ebb & Flow (4); Pine Creek (5); Shoal River (6); Valley River (10); and Water Hen (11). In 1968 the Dauphin Agency was amalgamated with the Portage la Prairie Agency to form the Brandon District Office.
