Scope and content
Sub-series of photographs documenting scenic views of Prince Albert National Park. Photos taken prior to its official openeing to the public in August of 1928. Numerous lectures were given across Canada using lantern slides and moving images of the park for promotional purposes. Sources for the photographs include the National Parks Branch of the Department of the Interior. No photographers are indicated in this series. The sub-series is organized alpha-numerically as follows. PL-1-L series consists of photographs documenting Lone Island Lake at Prince Albert National Park. PL-1-P series consists of photographs documenting Pelican Lake at Prince Albert National Park. PL-1-W series consists of photographs documenting Wakesiu Lake at Prince Albert National Park. PL-1-K series consists of photographs documenting Kingsmere Lake at Prince Albert National Park. PL-1-T series consists of photographs documenting Little Trout Lake and Big Trout Lake at Prince Albert National Park. PL-Misc series consists of photographs documenting birch bark canoe construction and life in Prince Albert National Park.
