Scope and content
Sub-series consists of photographs of Canada documenting the administration of public lands and the development and conservation of their natural resources. The photographic series was originall compiled from both federal and provincial sources including numerous sub-agencies and survey branches of the Department of the Interior. Photographs were also acquired from private sources and independent sources across Canada. The sub-series is organized alpha-numerically as follows. C-1 series consists of photographs documenting agricultural production, development and reserves across Canada. Sources include the Immigration and Colonization Branch and the Trade and Commerce Branch of the Department of the Interior. Photos by the Internationial Harvester Company of Canada, Central Experimental Farm at Ottawa, Royal Canadian Air Force, Dr. Jones and other sources. C-2 series consists of photographs documenting forest reserves, tree and leaf specimens across Canada. Sources include the Forestry Services Branch of the Department of the Interior. No photographers or sources are indicated. C-4 series consists of one photograph concerning fisheries and fish reserves in Canada. No photographer or source is indicated. C-5 series consists of photographs documenting wildlife reserves and development across Canada.
