Biography / Administrative history

The first agent at the Crooked Lake Agency in Saskatchewan was appointed in July 1885. The agency was responsible for bands in Treaty 4, Saskatchewan. These bands included: Cowesses; Kahkewistahaw; Ochapowace; Ouchaness (1885-1887); Sakimay; and White Bear (from 1934). In 1969 the Crooked Lake and Pelly Agencies merged to form the Yorkton District.
