Scope and content
Album contains all silver bromide prints, several of which are 3.5x11, put together possibly by Benjamin Low. Many of the photographs depict Low family members on climbing expeditions. Subjects include views of Alberta and British Columbia, agriculture, sheep, horse and cattle ranches near Calgary and Bow River, Indian Camp, the Northwest Mounted Police, Banff Hotel, lumber mill in B.C., forest fire near Columbia River and a series of views entitled "Climbing the Great Glacier" of a 4-man, 1-woman party of climbers.
