Additional information
The accession consists of a daguerreotype copy (attributed to the Montreal photographer Thomas Coffin Doane) of a painted miniature portrait of Lady Louisa (née Lambton) Elgin by an unknown artist, and a whole-plate daguerreotype group portrait of Lord and Lady Elgin, with Lady Alice Lambton [sister of Lady Elgin] and Lord Mark Kerr [Lord Elgin's A.D.C.], taken in 1847-8, and attributed to Thomas Coffin Doane.
Custodial history

Related materials
Copies of these two photographs and of others from the Elgin family were accessioned as NPC 1976-238. These are available for research purposes only.
