Scope and content
Series consists of records relating to funds and pensions administered by the Department Of Finance. These records have become a part of the Department of Finance fonds because of the department's role as a central agency whose terms of reference extend to financial matters across all government activities. For much of this material transferred to the National Archives from the Department of Finance no pre-archival arrangement was discernable and, therefore, it has been considered desirable to revert to an arrangement under subject headings because of the diversified nature and small volume of some of these records.
