Biography / Administrative history
The Director is the head of the administrative chain of command within the Geological Survey of Canada. During the period covered by this series, the Directors were: Sir William Logan (1842-1869), Alfred Selwyn (1869-1895), George Dawson (1895-1901), Robert Bell (Acting Director, 1901-1906), Albert Low (1906-1907), and Reginald Brock (1907-1914).
