Scope and content
Series illustrates Sharp's involvement in international affairs and the public perceptions of Canadian involvement. It contains various subject files, and files of public appeals, complaints and petitions, pertaining to differing aspects of international relations or international affairs, such as relations with Vietnam and China. It also contains files on topics of purely national interest, such as taxation and abortion. Diary copies of his 1973 and 1974 ministerial correspondence may also be found here. The final third of the series contains assorted files dealing with Sharp's interest in international affairs and issues. Some of these latter files, those relating to the Canada-Mysore Project, predate his appointment as Secretary of State for External Affairs and reflect a personal interest in international relations.
The final four boxes contain a partial card index to the series. (Paper)
