Scope and content

Petitions addressed to the Governor-in-Chief requesting legislation to regulate the sale of alcohol and to promote temperance were segregated as a series. Certain items were readily identifiable as astray from the Provincial Secretary's numbered correspondence files and have been reintegrated with RG 4, C 1 or RG 5, C 1; the remaining items require further investigation before they can be reintegrated with the aforementioned series or elsewhere.
