Scope and content

Series consists of two diaries which are the original received from the 4th Earl Grey, and the other two were photocopied in 1955, volumes 3 to 6. Typescript copies of these volumes are available, volumes 7 and 8. Serie also consists of meteorological recordings made at Montreal, 1 December 1838 - 27 April 1839 and at St. John, L.C., 8 November 1840 - 3 May 1841, photocopy, 12 pages, volume 9.
