Scope and content

Series consists of Twenty documents relating to the conveyance of the seigneury of Beauharnois and lands in Godmanchester, Hinchinbrook, and Clifton townships, 1817-1852, originals, 52 pages. This material is available on reel C-4648. Portion of a letterbook concerning the administration of the Beauharnois Seigniory, 1836-1838, 41 pages. This material was copied from National Library of Scotland, MS. 15187, folios 8-22v and 34-39r.

Additional information

The original documents were received in 1939 from William H. Robert of Montreal. The copy from the National Library of Scotland was received in 2003 from André LaRose.
